The 7th house begins at the point opposite the Ascendant: it is literally what stands in front of you. It's the other, the partner, the associate, the rival with an open face. It is also where a person projects what they don't yet recognize in themselves and later meets, embodied, in whoever they choose.
A planet in this house
A planet in the 7th house describes the kind of relationship a person forms and what they look for (or provoke) in the other. Saturn here tends to take commitment seriously and be slow to give itself; Uranus here asks for space inside the relationship and doesn't work in a tight format.
