Minor Arcana · Wands · Element: Fire
Keywords: curiosity, news, youthful enthusiasm, exploration, beginner's courage
The advice
Experiment without demanding of yourself the results of someone already experienced.
A young person in flowered clothes holds a tall wand and gazes at its tip with admiration, in a desert with pyramids behind. They don't yet know what to do with it — and they are enchanted.
Page of Wands upright
An exciting novelty entering the scene: an invitation, good news, a wish to learn something you've never done. It is the energy of beginning without a résumé — more courage than technique, and that is exactly what makes it work.
In love
A lively flirtation, someone younger or more spontaneous, a light and playful mood arriving.
In work and money
A new proposal, a course, an internship, an experimental project. Say yes and learn along the way.
In your inner life
Curiosity returning. Doing something badly for the first time is one of the best antidotes to boredom.
The shadow
Excitement that doesn't last into the second week. Agree with yourself on a minimum period before judging.
Page of Wands reversed
The excitement has lost its way. News that runs late, a project abandoned halfway, or the person who announces everything before doing anything. The reversed Page asks the idea to ripen a little before becoming an announcement.
In love
Someone immature at the game, easy promises, an interest that cools as quickly as it heated.
In work and money
Lack of focus, too many beginnings, bad feedback received early on. Finish one thing.
In your inner life
Fear of trying because you won't be good right away. No one is — that's the point.
The shadow
Talking about the project instead of doing it. Telling gives the same good feeling and no result.
Frequently asked questions
Is Page of Wands a yes or no?
Yes, the way a beginner does it: with more curiosity than technique. Something new can open the door, and the courage to learn is worth more than a résumé here. Reversed: Not for now. The idea was announced before it was ripe and the excitement lost its way; let the plan grow in silence before expecting an answer.
