Five ways to open the table
The spread decides how many cards fall and what each position answers. There is no better spread: there is the one that fits your question.
Yes or No (1 · One card, a straight answer)
The whole reading has to fit into a single symbol, with no neighbours to lean on. Use it when the question is closed and already ripe — and expect the card to answer the question you asked, not the one you wish you had asked.
Card of the Day (1 · One card, counsel for today)
It does not predict the day: it hands you a lens to cross it with. This is the spread for arriving without a settled subject and wanting a direction for the next few hours.
Three Cards (3 · Past · present · future)
The classic one. It shows where the matter comes from, where it stands and where it tends to go if nothing changes — and "if nothing changes" is exactly the part people forget.
Love Spread (3 · You · the bond · the other)
Three sides at once, not three moments. The card for the other person speaks of what the bond shows of them: tarot does not read the mind of someone who is not here.
Simple Cross (5 · Situation, forces and tendency)
The fullest spread in the app: the situation at the centre, what helps and what hinders on the sides, counsel above and tendency below. It is the only one that separates the forces for and against.

Which spread should I choose?
Closed question: Yes or No. A day starting with no settled subject: Card of the Day. A situation in motion: Three Cards. A relationship: Love Spread. A decision that needs pros and cons: Simple Cross.
What changes if I turn reversed cards on?
A reversed card is not the opposite of the upright one: it usually speaks of the same force blocked, delayed or turned inward. If you are starting out, leaving it off gives a cleaner reading.
Which deck is used?
The Rider-Waite-Smith of 1909, all 78 cards: 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor, split into Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles. The images are the original ones, in the public domain.
Can I ask about another person?
You can, but the table answers from your side of the story: what the bond shows and what is within your reach. Tarot does not state what someone feels, hides or intends — nobody could verify that, and a serious reading does not invent it.
Do I need to write a question?
No. Without one, the spread speaks of what is most alive in you right now. With one, the reading gets more specific — it is worth writing a sentence, even an imperfect one.
