Frequently asked questions about the birth chart
What if I do not know the exact time?
The chart is still produced: the planets are calculated for noon and the reading speaks of inner structure. What is left out is the Ascendant and the twelve houses, which depend on the minute and the place. If the birth certificate turns up later, it is worth redoing.
Is this the same as a magazine horoscope?
No. The daily horoscope speaks of the Sun and splits the world into twelve groups. The chart starts from your instant of birth and includes Moon, Ascendant, houses and the angles between bodies — which is why two people of the same sign come out so different.
Which bodies are in the calculation?
Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, plus Ascendant, Midheaven, North Node, Lilith and the Part of Fortune — each with sign, degree, house and retrograde status.
Does the chart predict what will happen?
No. It describes tendencies and material to work with, never a closed fate — and it gives no deadlines. The decision stays with whoever asks.
