Your convictions don't just sit on the shelf. When you believe in something — an idea, a way of living, a view of the world — you defend it tooth and nail and feel the urge to put it into practice. A long trip may be born of an impulse and become an adventure; a course, of a heated argument that left you wanting to know more. Debates about politics, philosophy or ethics tend to light your fuse in no time.

The light of this placement

You fight for what you believe in and throw yourself into the unknown with the courage of someone who loves to explore.

The shadow — what to work on

Too much certainty becomes a crusade; listening to those who think differently widens the horizon you so want.

House 9: House of the Horizon

The 9th house is the question 'so what?'. It's where information becomes a worldview: college, the book that changed everything, the trip that reorganized your head, the belief, religious or not, that sustains a person when the ground disappears.

Mars: what it means in the chart

It shows how you fight, desire and assert yourself. It's the planet that explains why one person explodes and another stews for days, and why some only find out they were angry long afterward.
